My name is Lisa Epperson. I was raised in Minnesota by the two most loving parents in the world. I have one brother who is three years older than me. I’m a former college gymnast and received my Bachelors of Science in Journalism. Currently, I’m a 40-something living in the south. I’m a thankful follower of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, wife to my lovingly-patient husband (also a former college gymnast), and mother to two amazing teenagers (who both inherited the gymnastics gene!). I’m a student of God’s Holy Word, a lover of people and a ‘watchman on the wall’ for Jerusalem. I also enjoy sports, cooking, taking long walk/runs, gathering around our backyard fireplace with friends and family and visiting my 91 year-old kindred-spirit, Della. I cherish my daily calls with my sweet mom, monthly phone chats and visits from my college-boy, pillow talk with my high school-girl, and coffee with my gal pals. And I’m extremely blessed to be able to spend most days in the company of my husband.

My life journey has taken many turns, twists, dips, and climbs. Never a dull walk. I’ve delighted in exhilarating all-out sprints when life felt effortless.  Other times I’ve been distracted from offroad paths. Sometimes the journey was sunny. Sometimes it was gloomy. But NEVER have I been truly alone…..

I want to give you a glimpse into my journey through this blog. I will be sharing my life stories, as well as treasures I have picked up from other travelers on my path. I want to show you some of the beautiful colors I have discovered on the blooms along the way and which thorny bushes to avoid. 

This blog is ultimately a ‘thank you note’ to the lover of my soul, Jesus Christ. I worship an awesome God.
